Winter is when I recall the best sails.
In Response To: Wednesday is PHOTO DAY! ()

Especially roaming through 10,000+ files looking for a specific shot. I stumbled on this shot of my son and the dog enjoying(you can tell young Tom is a sailor, dreaming of his own sails to come...) a northerly breeze that's got us headed into the Deer Isle Thoroughfare. Or this one that brings back the power of a reach up Blue Hill bay. I can feel the wheel throbbing and hear the roar of water we're plowing. But I like this one too on a lighter later sail up Blue Hill. We don't cross oceans but not many families can set a wheel pilot and take a timer family photo under spinnaker. A later sail through the Fox Island Thoroughfare, one of my favorite places on earth. Maine sailors sail a lot. A westerly powered breeze, they go on and on. This is so much better than when all the photos were in a shoe box in the attic.
