I just did a very through scrub job on the boat... and used automotive paste wax on the smooth areas around the cockpit... and got to wondering a couple of things... first is this the right wax (or does it matter at all)
And second... what about the "rough" areas of the boat... how is that protected? I tried a bit of wax in a couple out of the way "rough" areas and discovered two things... one, it is a real pain to buff out the wax in all those nooks and crannies, two it makes things slippery... so probably not a great idea to use on areas designated as walking zones.
Is there anything that can be applied to such areas that will both protect them and improve footing? Obviously paint... but not likely to be done annually, or semi-annually.
