I'd be cautious of two things: i) slipperyness on the non-skid; and ii) chalking of the wax.
There are some non-skid "wax" materials; however, I don't know how much work the topsides need.
What is the hull color, Gene? On issue is how long the polish works on an oxidized hull. Some of the teflon and other similar treatments might work; however, once you go down the route, you're committed to it unless you get into a lot of labor.
Practical Sailor did a rating of the various materials and their materials to do this work. You might look them up.
