On this voyage, i think it is most exciting. We have not only come as far as Savannah on the ICW, but we had also gone north up the Hudson River. David has always said, and I have to agree, there are two types of cruisers. Those who are enjoying the voyage and those who want to get "there" wherever their "there" might be. For us, we are loving both. We happen to be nature lovers, so cruising along the desolate areas on the ICW, through large, unpopulated marshes, teaming with egrets, pelicans and dolphins, to me, this is wonderful. Then when we get places like Belhaven,NC , Beaufort,SC, Norfolk,VA.....etc, And we go exploring the towns, cities, parks..... Talking to people that live in these places and just absorbng a little piece of each place..... This is also wonderful.
I think doing this trip with my best friend also makes it wonderful. Living in tight quarters, it is easy to get on each others nerves. This doesn't happen to us... Although I do have to get creative at times for some alone time....like going shopping
I think that Roger is missing out being in such a hurry. You have to take time to smell the roses or else it's just a colored flower on a thorny vine.
