Micron CSC is fine on PVC and Hypalon
In Response To: Inflatable bottom paint ()

Hi Rodd,

Been using it for years & years. CSC is all we put on inflatables (hulls and tubes). It is a flexible self-ablative. Surface simply needs to be prepped properly (light sanding and cleaned [MEK for PVC and Toluol for Hypalon -Chlorosulfonated material]. Then roll or brush on.

Interlux will be packaging their water-based antifoulant called Aqua as a kit for inflatables. Will be launched here at our warehouse sale at the end of the month. Have yet to try it, but it supposedly requires no sanding [since a lot of yards are strict about sanding] and is environmentally safe in prep, only a washing and rinse-prep with part 1 before applying part 2 anti-foulant.

The issue I think you might have, if you were using a wax before.......is most waxes are petroleum based. If that is the case (which is NOT good to apply to any tubes, PVC or Hypalon) you may have adhesion problems....so prep well, clean well.
