Voids are bad for a variety of reasons.

The resin won't work too well in "pure" tension compared to compression. If you can link the two systems, I think it would be alot better.

I have NO DIRECT expereience with this, only conjecture. Good luck, Paul. It looks thoughtfull done, so far. I'm still leary of the metal and the glass/foam and how they work together in the long run.
