sand availability. Graded, uniform. Model Railroad Ballast sand

available in most any decent hobby shop and less costly than the stuff sold for boat use. I've used it on several boats I built for customers, AND on the captain's ladder leading to my loft/bedroom, under varnish. Hides completely under varnish.
Sold in 1 pound cans, which is a LOT of sand.
