I am making up a piece of trim for the inside of the cabin top - 2 3/8" wide by 35" long by 1/2" thick - it will need to conform to the camber of the cabin overhead which is about a one and half inch deflection end to end. Obviously I will have to put some bend in this little board - one question is: what is the best way to bend this piece, and should I put 1/4" ? kerfs in the top of the board first to facilitate this bend. I have some teak veneer trim tape I could put on the front of the finished piece to hide the kerfs should I decide to use them. I am a poor woodworker at best and usually just keep remaking a piece until one fits , in this case, however, I am short on teak and would like to do it in one effort if possible.
