You guys have given me some excellent tips...

and I am going to use a bit from every one of them - first it gets a twelve hour soak in very hot water, then I bar clamp it in the middle, between two one inch blocks. I'll leave it a couple of days until nearly dry and see if it takes a bit of set. Then, I'm going to inlet both side pieces of trim with my Multimaster, then I'm going to snap it into place in a compression bend. I will then proceed to wery wery carefully drill a couple of pilot holes into the cabin top glass to receive some screws to secure it. I will post the results as soon as I get a picture and photoshop it so it looks like it worked.
