Mine are a litle less than 1/2"

() and they bend in place to follow the deck camber. Make sure you use the correct length screws or else you'll be asking questions about fiberglassing. Cheers!

- Ronn- I just went out to the shop, picked up a piece of teak 1 1/4 x 3/8 x 40 inches
- Wouldn't the 1/2" stock easily make the bend?
