I've been resisting latex enamels for decades now.
In Response To: I've been using Benjamin Moore ()

That far back, some paint suppliers were saying oil would soon be gone due to tightening regs. Latex just couldn't cut it for any smooth finish that needed a good flow. I think the paint companys are finally making some break throughs in water based. "Oil modified acrylic" and things like that. And the flow on this product is good.

Very thin, it takes 2 coats. It claims self priming but it's designed for wood or concrete. However, I find it adheres very well, even to plastic paint roller trays and pails, better than oil! And on wood, it takes very heavy traffic with out scuffing off as easily as most oil floor enamels I've used. One other thing that may be in my favor, having a urethane base, it may be more flexible than oil. I'll know in a few years.

Time and use will only tell.

I too like the color options and because it's so cheap(13 for a qt, 35 gal), I ended up with an extra gallon because I changed my mind on the color after seeing it, and went back for another. The dinghy will be "linen" this year.
