I intend to paint Jaunty above the waterline with acrylic latex. It works great on my house.

() As well, there's latex bottom paints which may or may not resist growth but last from the paint perspective. Also, the deck/nonskid will be latex Kiwi Grip.
I just thought to paint the bottom with an oil based 'tie coat' as there was a primer on it from the numbnuts who built the hull. Even though he failed to sand it first....... Having sanded it, it's ready for paint if only I was.
