Leave it to the IT guy to rate the most complex device at the top of the list

I suppose it depends on where you sail but I rely on my depth sounder more than any other piece of electronic equipment. I have a hand held GPS with charting that I find useful but I would certainly rate my combined Speed/Depth instrument much more useful.
