If that's the case, consider the kill switch first. Is the clip inserted properly? At all? Been there, done that. SOMETIMES a kill switch will go bad and needs replacement if all else fails.

If it kicks a bit but won't really run then it's most likely fuel issue. Look at the carb bowl.

Oh, and be sure the vent cap is open on the tank. It would likely start but die out after a spell if that's closed.
