Fresh from the shop it ran for three weeks before the carb was plugged up again. The last season I used it I had to have the carb services three times. I used Stabil and changed the gas every 3-4 weeks and ran the carb dry before leaving the motor overnight, but it still pluggged up. The first symptom of a problem was that it would start Ok but die after running for 3-4 minutes. The shop said the tiny passages in the carb were plugging up.

The result was that two years ago I left the Mercury in the shed and bought a Torqeedo electric. So far I haven't gotten a bad batch of electrons. I just hope no one mandates mixing 10% neutrons into the electron mix :
