I still eat a variety but brought high cholesterol and high blood pressure down.

Mostly by small changes like diet. I should say, my wife is responsible for the better diet(whoever buys the groceries determines that). I've been lucky to never fight a weight problem, but high cholesterol has history with me, and lately, climbing blood pressure. Some of us just lean toward high cholesterol, as we now know. Same with blood pressure.

We've never been big meat eaters but enjoy all the good foods like cheese. Simply going to more whole grain, less salt, etc, a bit less wine, to try to get my blood pressure down. I get quite a bit of excercise with my work but have tried to get more pleasant excercise outside of work. All small stuff really.

But my last blood blood pressure checked showed me "cured"! Well within the safe levels for my age, after a couple years above my safe range.

The surprise though was cholesterol, something I've seen too high for over a decade. Almost out of the woods! Even my PA was surprised. We were considering both blood pressure med and statins. I'll quickly add, I was lucky, for some, this won't be as successful. And as i get older, I may have to address each issue with meds(I'm 58)

But for now, I put it off. And also without trying(it seems), I lowered my weight from a lately usual 185 range to a 175 range. I would guess all these factors helped with my BP and cholesterol.

I just had two cookies for breakfast my daughter baked last night, I couldn't resist.
