Well, after 23 years of living aboard and cruising I guess

I can safely say I have evolved into a "commuter cruiser". While on the "Bash" up from Cabo to San Diego last month our renters gave notice after 7 years. We decided that instead of re-renting the place we would move in our selves and are currently entertaining bids to redo the place. So far we've painted everything and have a few things in the kitchen and tonight we actually cooked a dinner. We are still living on board until the work is completed on the flooring and bathrooms so we haven't officially turned into dirt dwellers yet. That's a month or so out. Our plan is to get into the commuter cruising mode and continue doing Mexico and the Sea of Cortez. If we decide to head farther south then we'll do it at a jump each season. We agreed and made the decision when we bought a condo in a high rise that we didn't want to move into someplace where the nearly dead outnumbered the living. So this is what we bought. We're right down town about three blocks from the baseball park and 4 blocks from the gas lamp district of San Diego. Talk about the two extremes! Mexico to the Gaslamp district. It's been a good cruise and it isn't over yet, just a slight change in course. Heave ho and batten down the cabin maid!
