Hi Steve! We started as commuter cruisers -- I wanted to cruise full-time and David didn't want to quit racing our 18' one design scow, YFlyer, in the summers. So we compromised -- we still race from Boston to Atlanta and west to Little Rock & Kansas City -- Y Nationals this year was Nashville, TN, a new venue. And we spend winters cruising - mid-October to mid-May. Hopefully this year we'll spend more time away from the dock - after getting bottom paint & some yard work done in November.

It's a great lifestyle, especially if you have to compromise for a round the buoys racer type...
