Exact landfall isn't the issue with this storm . . .

Right about when it comes ashore it's projected to morph right through the approaching frontal system . . . instead of bouncing along it and out to sea as they usually do. If you look at the 500mb wind charts, its essentially going to barge right through the jet stream and become a noreaster . . then park over NJ, PA, NY for a couple of days.
I took a look at SailFlow and it appears we'll have winds over 30 knots for about a week -- over the ocean that is.
The Great Dismal Swamp Canal is looking like a very attractive hurricane hole right now.
