If that's what we get it's going to be very bad.
People are very busy prepping around here. Most boats have been hauled or made safe (as much as possible). There are a few stragglers and boats on open water moorings still, and I'm not optimistic about the future for those boats. NY Metro trains are being cancelled and businesses are telling staff not to report to work. Schools are closed. People are planning to telecommute as much as possible and I'm hoping the cell and internet infrastructure stays up, although we're expecting widespread power and communications outages.
I'm going to see if I can get some images of the 8-11 foot waves expected on Long Island sound tomorrow. Will make some good photo day content.
