Shoal draft is an asset at haul out. It's handy to schedule the haul with no regard for tide. This looks like low tide,... It takes a while to come up after we pull the stick. The ride is uplifting beyond the obvious. There's a comfort, a finale in that feeling as the fluid water suddenly lets go of the hull, and the machine takes over. This is the end of a season and the beginning of another. A sailing season is hard to sum up. They're all different even though they're also similar. I collect RAW files of my sailing. My wife collects things she finds along the waters edge and then "files" them in various ways, into our lives. Some of this past seasons stuff, she filed on a table by the back door. It was a good sailing season for both of us.
