The sail will rule. I found the nicest surprise yesterday in the book, Maine Sail.
In Response To: Getting a sail ()

Published by a local artist, it's a journal of a typical downeast cruise but with the artists watercolors that are quite beautifully done.

Almost at the end of the journal, my eyes caught a watercolor of my daughter sailing our pram when she was about 10 years old. It's a beautiful watercolor now immortalizing her(for us), in that time.

I recognized our dinghy EVE immediately from the days when we'd paint the dinghys name on with the kids in a garish hand painted bold style of big letters and Christmas trees(your grandsons drawing reminded me of those days). I wish I could post the watercolor of her sailing EVE in the book, so many years ago now.

Here is what the author, Margaret McCrea wrote to go with the watercolor of our daughter; "On a nearby anchored boat, the parents of a young girl launch a sailing pram with a colorful tankbark spritsail. Her father rigs the boat and sets the confident young lady on her way. Pondering the peaceful start of a new day, we watch as she gingerly guides her craft in a fickle morning breeze. Oh, that every child could share an experience such as this at least once in a liftetime."

EVE has always drawn paint brushes.
