It's a good book. I like it for what it is - it's not a great sailing adventure and doesn't pretend to be.
But the art is well-done and the book has nostalgia value for someone who has cruised there. I
recognized her description of someone who I've met a few times while sailing - a singlehander in an
old Pearson (30?) who is a professor in the Midwest (Wisconsin maybe?) - and that added to the fun.
It was a LOT better than _Bound for Roque Island_ which I really disliked. It's give the McCrea book 4
stars; the Rubadeau gets (from me) 1 star. Just dreadful.
