I am planning on installing a Whale Gusher 30 manual bilge pump on my Pearson 36 cutter. It is considerably larger than the Gusher 10 that is there now and will have to be relocated. I have an idea of where it might go and I will build a prototype before I go cutting. The literature says that it is designed to go through bulk heads and decks and I have the bracket for that purpose. While is appears substantial, it seems to me that, by the pump simply hanging by this bracket, it would need some bracing. If this works, I have included the URL. Has anyone installed one of these and, more to the point, is it worth it?
