We have the SAME Noma snow thrower. About 6 years ago I was ready to replace it but seeing as I bought it in 1989, and it has lasted 24 years with only three oil changes, one spark plug and two belts I have decided to keep it to "push the limits".
It is one of my few gas powered devices that seems TOTALLY IMMUNE from Ethanol... It has never once been in the "shop" for repairs.
When I bought it in 1989 I broke it in with the factory oil then changed the oil, to Rotella T and she's been going strong ever since. Amazing that even with the wet heavy snow we get living steps from Casco Bay this little Canadian built snow blower still ROCKS..... She has been ABUSED and that little Techmuseh and drive train still kick butt...
I think rust will kill her before the engine or drive train fail... One of the few good quality items I ever purchased from the now defunct Home Quarters.....
