It finally stopped snowing about 8 pm tonight here.

I kept watching the radar and like the spiral flow down a drain, the center got smaller and smaller, and the drain plug was right here! Eerie crystal clear sky out there now, winds are beginning to subside, and temps just a bit above 10F.

It's hard to tell snow depths but it's up the windows nearby, and rises out from there. I'd say we got 3' in the low areas, 4+ in the higher spots. It looks surreal right now.

It was an easy storm though, no power loss, just an easy day to sit inside and watch it unfold. Truth is, most of us enjoy natures storms like this, when we're well prepared. Like finding a good harbor of refuge on your boat with time to spare before a gale. Not fun if you're too late getting in,....

Those that get damaged, unfortunate as that is, are few, and mostly in low lying areas, and they are the news. Tomorrow morning should be stunning outside. I can hardly wait to get out there.
