Particularly the element about piece of mind driving the choice, my default is to have it ALL with no compromises. Later I will install my opinion about the best I can do with what I got to work with.

Franklin Air Terminal Question

  - I am good with frying my antenna
    - We have a conventionally grounded masthead , Windex, and a "fuzzy" topped grounded spike that some people have fun of
      - SG do you have an air terminal higher than your antenna?

        It's about a 2' extension on the mast head -- about the same height as my VHF (It's a short Metz antenna).
    - The issues are more frequent with trying not to ground and micro discharges
- Tom, I think you would be "re-muddling" your masthead
