I need to replace the windlass on our Kelly-Peterson 44 and am looking for people's experiences. At the moment, I am leaning toward the Maxwell RC10/10.

We have twice disappeared over the horizon for 2 year cruises and hope to again for at least as long when family and finances cooperate, so the Windlass really gets a workout and quality and ruggedness are important issues.

If you have anything good or bad to say about the Maxwell or any other windlass suitable for a boat our size, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
