My HDS 7 built in charts also show a 6' shoal right in the ships channel traffic lane at the entrance to Buzzards Bay. I have no confidence in it.

Navionics not only maintains their charts (it's their business) when you buy the chip you get downloadable updates for a year, using your computer to update the SD card. After recent storms including Sandy I will re-up to get the updates this year.
