And the whole design that brilliantly connected main sheet to spruce with absolute un-failing strength, and hauled your mainsail foot easily as well, was a useless design for the new spar material.
Reminds me of something an old world Scandanavian artisan murmured looking at some fake moulding. "Vood is good,...but plaster, is faster", he said with a sigh.
