  • I'm painting my topsides and buying a gallon.
    • I use propane
      • I did, and still do, the same. Used to use that in the wood shop

    • Small, clean cans works well. I leave them uside down so paint seals the lids. Don't forget to write on them!

  • I've never had a problem with partial cans of oil-based bottom paints.
    • Are the petroleum based?

    • Same here, my bottom paint (Micron CSC) lasts at least a couple years ...
