We had the same type on another boat. Just unscrew the old pipe and thread in new. The water injection can be done with a Tee fitting. Just a thought - you can carry a homemade elbow for emergency.
Wrap the pipe, or at least the very end of it near the manifold - the hose just above it is vulnerable, and you don't know what may fall upon it unexpectedly and cause excitement at the wrong time.
Wrap with fiberglass tape held on with hose clamps and it is very easy to inspect and rewrap at any time. However, inspection isn't really a concern - just replace it sooner. That one went way too long.
Or have one made in stainless - that's what we did. Your design is much better than the concentric pipe designs and very easy to fab in SS.
