I stay away from BI on any summer weekend too
In Response To: I arrived from Cape May one Labor Day weekend ()
... but the 4th and Labor Day are insane. The place can't handle the numbers of people, not just boaters -- ashore too. They run out of everything (e.g. block ice), the garbage dumpsters overflow, you can't get a table in a restaurant, etc. (but we usually cook aboard anyway). June and September are ideal.
