I always hate having paper charts in the cockpit when we are sailing. It seems one is always in the way when I am trying to move around the cockpit tending to one of the many lines that terminate there (one of the downfalls of sailing what I call an "athletic cruising boat").
I keep my mouth shut though as I understand the importance of the information. We will always keep paper charts onboard for the day the plotter fails (again....)!
