We had a really nice 2 countdown timer with alarm and clock. Used it all the time. The photo is not the timer we had but the link is. Great timer, 2 count down or up, alarm and also a clock. Great for timing things in the cockpit and will look good on the wood. It won't last in the elements but just take it off between uses.
