But after some BIG black marks on the deck.... And then a couple of times a winch handle was thrown onto a cockpit seat (BIG BANG SOUND, no cushion there) and a few other incidents, I MAKE RULES ABOARD. I try to be loose, and I don't want to loose friends, but the safety and well being of the boat and other crew comes first.

For some time, We often had people on board that had never been on a sail boat before. I think a couple of "rules" aboard makes everyone feel batter.
