on a 635 square foot full-batten main with double-purchase halyard. The loads on this main are more than twice what you'd see on an equivalent sized monohull main. Never a failure or accidental release.

I don't know for sure, but suspect it's pretty common to see these used in Europe on boats over 12-meters. They can't release unless the trigger is activated. Very reliable.
