I mean he did say it was in a case. Of course the heating and cooling of that case likely caused breathing and who knows what else.
Reminds me of some electronic equipment I left on an island and went back to inspect just a few years later... the "sealed" boxes were full of water. I suspect the moisture laden coastal air was sucked in through one way vents that didn't let the stuff back out. Likely the units should have had internal heaters.
