Always a time to reflect. We sailed roughly a thousand miles this summer and never left southern New England. No hurricanes, only one northeaster and it was mild but lasted almost two weeks, nothing broke on the boat, got only a few minor scratches on the new paint. Time to give thanks for things that went well.

BTW -- the iTunes store is making it easy to contribute to your selected charity to provide aid to the Philippines. A small contribution, even $10 or $25 or $50 will make a huge difference if a lot of people do it. The Red Cross and Americares are two of many who are providing relief. The devastation is awful -- those people need help.
