Thanks for the advice. Our boom is 15' long and pretty heavy at about 50lbs without rigging lines. Mast weight is more critical to us as we step it up via deck winch numerous times over our season so definitely going carbon fiber there. I'm thinking the boom too as I end up lifting that on my own quite a bit.

We'll see how the Rustoleum paint holds up. There's a few coats of clear coat on it and I'm thinking it'll be good for a while. It looks 100% better and even passes a 5' test with pits just barely visible.
