Conch shell for sure! Friend Charlie is now in Georgetown SC, and may stay there!

He's having the time of his life. While he's lived the snowbird life for 10 years on the ICW between Bahamas and Maine, this is all new to his partner Barbara. Charlie is a died in the wool Mainer and does a brutal commentary below...

""Georgetown, SC. Google it! Tom and MA, I think we have found heaven - at least winter heaven. Now I know why birds migrate. And unlike Florida, this place is authentic. No golf courses with stupid Rush Limbaugh fans wearing stupid clothes and chasing stupid little balls over poisoned grass. I think Penguin just may go aground in her own coffee grounds right here. Never fear, though, we'll git 'er off on a spring tide in March and head her back to Winter Point for the summer.""

His earlier 10 years were on a Southern Cross 39, with a full cockpit enclosure!(no davits,...) His new ride is this Cape Dory 30 MS, PENQUIN, a good choice for a veteran snowbird.
