for one reason or another I had to be connected, so I was happy with the arrangement, I could connect from just about anywhere as long as there was a cell tower within 10-15 miles or so. On the other hand, I wish I didn't have that requirement when in the Bahamas, I really envy those that do not, so unless you have to be, or you really like reading emails and messing around the Web, I would not bother with the SIM Card. Especially for weather. Parker will tell you everything you need to know, I didn't use the SIM card connection for weather all that much, it did however come in handy when making overnights and crossings back. If you have the SSB, I wouldn't bother with anything else. If you can handle every couple weeks when you're near a hot spot to check emails and pay a bill or two, do that for sure, that's the way to go ... get away from it. Listen to Chris in the morning, then go have fun, that's why you're there. What's the point of being connected when you're in the Hamas ?!? Forget all this electronic device crap, if something goes wrong with your device, or your connection, or there are issues, and there always are in the Bahamas ... it will drive you nuts and waste your time ... go spear a lobster or a hog fish instead. I can't tell you how many times the computer, cell phone or similar gadget has totally frustrated me in the Bahamas, sucked me in, or took me away from doing what I'd rather and should have been doing ... shuck it ! There are times in the middle of nowhere when I will check in with Chris and have a pretty good feel on the forecast, then sleep in and not listen for a couple of days ... that is really nice ... no problem mon. When we're tucked in like say in GT or similar, I usually don't care too much about the weather. Keep us posted ! Cheers, John
