It means XP is vulnerable to exploits

it's not secure, hasn't been in years and due to architectural weaknesses that are well known to hackers, no anti-virus software, security patches or hotfixes will make it secure.

Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 will not be supported by Microsoft after April 8, 2014. No security updates, no hot-fixes, and no driver updates. It's the support that's going dark. Not the program.

New software offers far better security, reliability, and compatibility with modern mobile devices and peripherals. If you have computers still running XP they are at least 5 years old (probably 6 or 8+) and it's time for replacement.

Unsupported and unpatched environments are vulnerable to known security flaws, and don’t meet basic security standards. It’s not just a business problem. Home computers also contain important and sensitive information, and should be secured.
