Business, insurance, law... those that are primarily word crunchers?

I do CAD and all the CAD tools I have right now advise against Win 8, even the latest version. Now bear in mind that a lot of this stuff is not exactly windows compliant... much of it was ported over from old UNIX software.

My engineering office is all Win 7. And yes, it does have some flaws.

I wonder about Win 8 and some of the navigation software out there... are they readily supported?
