I did, in the middle of a race during Long Beach Race Week.

Yeah, the crew saw me fall in, as did the following boat... and the water was warm, during the summer. I was in the water less than 9 minutes, tops.

But in the seconds I was sliding off the boat, I realized just how helpless I was.

We went from first place to ninth place on that race... but still finished. Crew was that good. I still race with those guys, and yeah, they joke about it from time to time.

Best practice... Stay on the Boat. I clip in... whenever I am alone.
