I've got electric on my brain these days. As you're aware, we have a new generation of more efficient heat pumps available. Their efficiency at colder temperatures has gone up significantly. I'm seeing their installation increase in my neighborhood. I'm looking into installing one or two at my house. I'm mostly heated with wood pellets right now so these mini-splits are making sense as my house is split into manageable(open for space heating efficiency),sections that are not always used.
Plus, the new mini splits costs to heat can be below wood pellets! I have a few going into a project I'm doing so I'll wait and see how they work before I do my own.
I'm also going to install a heat-pump water heater. I remember you installed a very efficient electric a few years back. Was it one of these heat pump water heaters, Paul?
