() That is, if you're at a dock(which is most live aboards). These are so affordable, I'd set up a separate shore power cord-supply outlet and circuit for the heater alone. Stow it all until you need it. New/safe wiring, devices.
The thing I didn't mention is not having to worry about CO in a small space, from fossil fuel combustion.
