Something unique can be fabricated from bronze.
The pulpit and stanchions and anchor roller were bronze on Passage and I made all the parts myself.
Nice work! Bronze is such permenant material for a boat.

How about removing the chrome plating?
I did that on a Vanguard 32 I re-did for a customer. The chromed bronze fittings

Good work. Good idea. I made a mistake putting a vee berth filler in our boat.
We have the filler in place at night; stow during the day.
Nice idea... clean and simple.
