I can understand

.... how that would be a decision point.

When I bought my current boat I had just finished a reburb on the last boat that was intended to put it in good shape for the next 7-10 years. Spent big bucks on it.

But then my current boat came on the market and Dragonfly 1200's don't come on the used market often. The Dragonfly 1200 was my dream boat. There's only about a half dozen of them in North America, and the new ones are so expensive they are totally out of my reach. There was a death in the family and it made me think "if not now, when?". I bought the 1200, and am glad I did. Got all the money I put into it out of the prior boat, too.
