Gig Harbor Boat Works Point Defiane 12' (not me)
In Response To: That is brilliant, Charlie! ()

Thanks for the compliment. My only brilliance was knowing when to get help from people who know what they're doing!

I'll start a separate thread for this. Dave Robertson has been building these boats for years and I've drooled on them at the January boat show most years. We knew that we wanted a good rowing boat and that we wanted a sailing rig. We also knew that we were done with wallowing about in the bilges of a sailing dinghy. We wanted to sit comfortably. Oh, and have it good for towing and not too much of a problem carrying it on the foredeck. Could it be done? We knew good stuff would cost us.

So, we sold the double pedal kayak and Honda 5 horse on Craigslist, kept the roll-up dinghy, bought a Lehr 2.5 hp propane.

More to follow.
